Looking for a Kintsugi? Pottery lover? This is the BEST place for you. Atmosphere is so cozy and nice. Feels like visiting friend’s house. The owner lady loves pottery and all the items are coming out from her collection. Based on our budget, she shows so many different kind of Kintsugi. Drinks, sweets and savory foods are also fantastic. You can choose your favorite cups from their collection. How amazing! I visited and chilled at this cafe two days in a row.Since we’re sharing one big table, I enjoyed chatting with other guests. If you’re lucky, you may can see the owner lady who speaks fluent English:) Enjoy this hidden gem in Nakameguro. Highly recommended;)

Cafe Cha Dance feels more like stepping into someone’s home than a typical café. Shoes are left at the door, exchanged for slippers, and the space is filled with carefully chosen antiques, pottery, and artwork. I tried their tea party set, which included a Matcha Pudding, three small treats, and a coffee. A unique touch was selecting my own cup from their collection, with the staff matching the place setting to it. The experience felt personal and thoughtful. I had been searching for kintsugi throughout Tokyo with no success, so I was thrilled to find several pieces here, including a beautiful antique cup. The owner, an avid collector of tea sets and ceramics, eagerly shared her knowledge. She explained that in Japan, kintsugi is used to repair sentimental items rather than something commonly bought or sold, though it has gained popularity overseas. The whole experience felt less like being in a business and more like visiting someone who genuinely enjoys welcoming guests, sharing good coffee and desserts, and talking about the things they love. If you’re looking for a quiet, personal café experience in Tokyo, Cafe Cha Dance is worth a visit.

The sweetest little spot to stop for Matcha, tea, coffee and sweets. Full of beautiful little antiques, you get to choose your own matcha bowl to have your tea served in, and sit at a cosy communal table looking out on Sakura trees. The ladies running it are so lovely. One of the best in experiences we had. It feels very local, like you’re tucked in at your grandmother’s table having a tea and sweet. So lovely.

What a lovely cafe! The ladies running it were extremely kind and friendly. I bought a couple of chopsticks holders and the lady we spoke to was so friendly that we decided to go to the cafe too! It was gorgeous. They even gave us a little puzzle game to play on the table. The antique crockery is beautiful. 100% recommend! Also - get the carrot cake
